This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it, click here。 I have to be honest, I almost gave up with this one。 A few reviews said that it was fine if you suspended your disbelief but I wasn't prepared for how suspended it would have to be。 It nearly lost me twice but I kept going solely because of the author whom I usually love。 I feel like us knowing Matthew's fate from fairly early on took all of the tension out。 That should have been hidden until the discovery in the photo really late on。 Just have certain other characters as supporting/friends to D I have to be honest, I almost gave up with this one。 A few reviews said that it was fine if you suspended your disbelief but I wasn't prepared for how suspended it would have to be。 It nearly lost me twice but I kept going solely because of the author whom I usually love。 I feel like us knowing Matthew's fate from fairly early on took all of the tension out。 That should have been hidden until the discovery in the photo really late on。 Just have certain other characters as supporting/friends to David and/or Rachel。 Have us unknowing whether it was really Matthew。 Have us question David。 Instead we just knew everything if not the full details。 I read it all, but it was almost cringingly unbelievable at times and, now knowing the ending, I regret not giving up when I thought to。 。。。more

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher/author for this ARC。 This is a typical Harlan Coban read。 I groaned at the initial premise but the story is well told and very engaging with a few twists and surprises。 Its a very enjoyable read

David and Cheryl Burroughs have been living the dream life until tragedy struck。 Now, five years later, David is locked away in a maximum-security prison after being convicted of the murder of their son。 But, when David’s sister-in-law drops by with an unexpected bombshell that could prove his son is alive and well, he has to break out of prison in order to uncover the truth。 This is the premise of Harlan Coben’s latest novel, I Will Find You。The story follows David as he goes on a race against David and Cheryl Burroughs have been living the dream life until tragedy struck。 Now, five years later, David is locked away in a maximum-security prison after being convicted of the murder of their son。 But, when David’s sister-in-law drops by with an unexpected bombshell that could prove his son is alive and well, he has to break out of prison in order to uncover the truth。 This is the premise of Harlan Coben’s latest novel, I Will Find You。The story follows David as he goes on a race against time to crack the mystery behind his son’s disappearance and prove his innocence。 Along the way, he encounters some unexpected surprises and finds himself embroiled in a much larger conspiracy than he could ever imagine。 With twists and turns at every corner, readers will be left guessing what will happen next as they turn each page!I Will Find You explores themes such as family loyalty and justice。 In a world where even innocent people can be wrongly convicted of crimes they didn’t commit, this book provides an important reminder that everyone deserves second chances and sometimes it takes extraordinary measures to get them。 It also touches on how far someone might go for their family members, even if it means breaking out of prison to do so。One thing that stands out about this novel is Harlan Coben’s ability to bring characters to life with genuine emotion and humour。 He skillfully weaves together suspenseful scenes with moments of lightheartedness which makes for an enjoyable read that keeps readers engaged until the very end!I particularly liked the way David manages to break out of prison and the others involved。 The developing story shows his journey all over the country to find his son if he’s even really still alive。 It sounds most unlikely, to begin with, and Rachel seems to be a bit of a dreamer, especially not wanting to involve her pregnant sister Cheryl, how much did she really believe in herself and how much did she just want to see David again? This was a fascinating story that I just couldn’t put down。 The characters we outstanding as always and the red herrings, plot twists and turns, ensured that you didn’t quite know what was going to happen until the very end。 If you are looking for an exciting read that will keep you on your toes while exploring important themes such as justice and family loyalty, then look no further than Harlan Coben's latest thriller。 With its fast-paced action sequences, interesting characters, and unexpected twists, this novel will have you hooked from start to finish! So grab your copy now and join David on his journey to uncover the truth behind his son’s disappearance! You won't be disappointed! 。。。more

Another great thriller from Harlan Coben。 David is incarcerated for murdering his three year old son, but what if he was innocent all along? I absolutely raced through this and loved every moment of the story unfolding。 Thanks to Netgalley and the publishers for an advanced digital copy of this book in exchange for an honest review。

I thought it was well paced and the chapters were a good length。 It’s maybe a little far fetched but despite this I still enjoyed it。 I thought the end was a bit flat which was a shame。 Overall, I think this book is a good thriller and definitely worth a read。 3。5 stars rounded to 3。 。。。more

David is in prison, convicted of killing his three-year-old son in a brutal senseless attack。 What follows is a rollercoaster thriller ride as he attempts to prove his innocence。 Along the way, the story involves various interesting and well-written characters such as the FBI agent Max, a shifty gangster figure Nicky, David’s sister-in-law Rachel, a journalist, and his godfather Philip, who, rather fortuitously, happens to be the prison warden! I Will Find You is the latest stand alone thriller from Harlan Coben。 It starts from David Burrough’s point of view: a man in prison for the murder of his young son five years ago。 (As David tells us on page one: ‘spoiler alert, I didn’t do it’。)There’s a lot in there that tells you this is a Harlan Coben book – a twists and turns plot with a great elevator pitch (how does a wrongly accused man get out of prison and solve the mystery of what really happened to his son, who he quickly becomes con I Will Find You is the latest stand alone thriller from Harlan Coben。 It starts from David Burrough’s point of view: a man in prison for the murder of his young son five years ago。 (As David tells us on page one: ‘spoiler alert, I didn’t do it’。)There’s a lot in there that tells you this is a Harlan Coben book – a twists and turns plot with a great elevator pitch (how does a wrongly accused man get out of prison and solve the mystery of what really happened to his son, who he quickly becomes convinced isn’t dead), a slightly meta style of writing (frequent fourth wall breaks as he asks questions to the reader: ‘have you ever…’ and even when things are at their most dire, a vein of Coben’s humour there at all times。 There’s other touches regular fans will spot: a background appearance from a regular Coben character pulling a few strings to keep the plot moving along and key characters from being locked up on charges despite evidence against them, an above-the-law wealthy family, and of course, the aforementioned plot twists。 We’re also introduced to two new characters: Special Agents Max Bernstein and Sarah Jablonski, trying to track down and capture the protagonist。 I’ve seen other reviewers comment on what a great duo they are and how many would like to see them in their own series – for me, I found them the most grating part of the novel。 Most of the time Coben’s humour works for me but their double act just grated。 All in all, it zips along as all of the author’s books do and I imagine Netflix are already licking their lips at an adaptation of it (how well this one would work if set outside the US I’m not so sure), and will thrill regular readers。 Coben does a good job of the surveillance/ tracking/ technology elements of the book generally; although for plot convenience’s sake there were a couple of moments I thought ‘wouldn’t they have noticed (possible spoiler removed)。 Is it ‘realistic’? Of course not – but then it’s not intended to be a documentary。 What it IS is another page turner from one of the best at writing them。 If it all gets a bit far fetched for some readers, I can see why they’d think so。 But for the many many fans around the world, I’ve no doubt they’ll thoroughly enjoy this latest thriller。 。。。more

A really good read。 Part thriller, part psychological drama, this book races through a few days of a tense search。 Although there are wrongs to be righted, the main character is not focussed on the errors made but on the main event which began the story。 An edge of your seat drama which made me want to pick up where I left off until I finished the book。 A modern story using today’s technology but tapping into old fashioned values。Recommended。

First of all, let’s get the fact that I love Harlen Coben’s books out of the way and admit I’m probably a captive audience with this one! However, if the first few lines that narrator David utters don’t yank you in, I’d be surprised。 You are in David’s head for a fair bit of this book with his memories, his varied feelings and the necessity of surviving a potentially brutal prison experience。 It does become a suspend disbelief credulity stretcher but I just go with the flow as somehow Coben manages to get his readers to go along with his audacious plots and it is immersive escapist reading which is just what I need! It’s a tense rollercoaster of danger, fear, recklessness, bravery and desperation and it has you on the edge of your seat。 There are some good twists along the way to the ending which is perhaps a little neat but not unexpected。 So why not five stars then since I clearly enjoy it so much? Well, there are two FBI agents SA Max Bernstein and SA Sarah Jablonski who spoil it for me especially at the start of their involvement。 They act like a really annoying, irritating comedy duo and some of the dialogue that zips back and forth between them - yikes, does it ever jar。 Bernstein definitely improves but I can’t get around the fact that I feel their first appearance is so out of place。 Overall though, let’s ignore those two clowns because at the end of the day, I’m entertained as usual by an author whose books I always look forward to diving into。 With thanks to NetGalley and especially to Random House UK, Cornerstone for the much appreciated arc in return for an honest review。 。。。more
